Annapolis, in Maryland, December 1.

Thursday last an Account was brought to Frederick-Town by Mr. James Pattern, That on the 28th of November the Indians had done Some Damage in the Great Cove, where they Staid about two hours : killed Christopher Fidler, Charles Stewart, and Thomas Query ; and burnt William Nox's House, and took himself and Family, eight in Number, Prisoners. The Indians were about 20 in Number, and were pursued by a Party of 28 the Evening after they had done the Mischief, and followed until Monday Evening, when it began to snow, and covered their Tracks. In the Pursuit they discovered a Child (one of the eight) which they had murdered on their Retreat.
