Dover, N. H. Jan 22.—The fact is well authenticated that a gentleman in Virginia, purchased the ticket which drew the highest prize in the great National Lottery, in consequence of a dream. It is a very remarkable fact, that a man in this town by the name of Horne, dreamed that this identical number, 929, would draw the very prize of $100,000!—he happens to be a poor man, and not being able to raise money enough to purchase the ticket, requested a gentleman of the Dover Factory Company, to lend him the money or to purchase it jointly with him: the gentleman referred to was induced to the latter by his urgent entreaties, and sent to Portsmouth to purchase that particular number.—The person, by whom he sent, could not procure it, but bought another!! It also happens that another person, a little impressed with Horne's dream, made a minute of the number, and when it was announced as having drawn the highest prize, communicated to him the intelligence.
There are four respectable persons to testify to these facts!!
