Bellevue.

Bellevue, Sept. 28.-(Special.)-Quite a shower of rain fell here this morning, though not enough to be of much benefit. Indications are favorable for more rain.

Our prairies here have the appearance of regular hayfields, as everybody seems to be putting up prairie grass for winter feed.

Our merchants are beginning to handle quite a lot of the fleecy staple, and for convenience of handling it they are trying to induce the railroad company to build a cotton platform here.

The Fort Worth & Denver City railroad has just completed its coal chutes at this place.

Mother earth around the little town of Bowie seems to abound in rich deposits. Everything from a coal vein to a gold mine seems to be within the range of possibility. This time it is a coal vein craze. There may be something in it, though I would not advise a rush there.
