Our Republican friends are astonished at the size of the reports that the Intelligencer presents of the Republican national convention, and amazed at the superiority of them over the reports furnished by our Republican contemporaries in this city. It is simply in line with the Intelligencer's view of journalism, viz: to publish all the news. It was said when the Intelligencer gave the most complete and extensive reports of the St. Louis convention that were seen in this town, that it was because that gathering was Democratic in its composition. Now the Republicans concede that we are printing the best account of their own convention, which only proves that the Intelligencer is true to its mission of printing all the news.
