BOBBY G. ALLEN

Army Specialist Four Bobby G. Allen, 27, whose wife Caroline lives at 933 Moore St., Huntingdon, Pa., recently participated with other personnel from the 1st Cavalry Division Artillery in Trooper Turnout III, a field training exercise in Korea.

The exercise, conducted under realistic combat conditions, was designed to test the division's combat readiness and efficiency. During the exercise, Specialist Allen and other members of his unit conducted coordinated tank-infantry attacks under helicopter envelopment and culminated the maneuver with a massive river crossing to assault active aggressor positions.

Specialist Allen, a radio mechanic in the artillery's Headquarters Battery, entered the Army in September 1954 and arrived overseas on this tour of duty in December 1960.

Allen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Allen, Green Sa. S. C.
