Full Text

NORTHAMPTON, Aug. 14. Yesterday the row galley commanded by Capt. Travis brought into Cherrystone the sloop in which Hanon, Evans, and others had embarked for Britain. As their former doubtful character had rendered them suspected by Capt. Travis, he pursued them without the capes, and found sufficient testimony of their having abused the indulgence of the State; and though many anonymous letters of a most unfriendly nature were discovered, yet, as they had received a passport from Government, he discharged them, and has since permitted the sloop to pursue her voyage.
