RALEIGH, December 15.—Raleigh OPA Authorizes
Sale of Obsolete Shoes and Single Shoes

Sales without cut rates have been authorized by the Office of Price Administration in reopening a relief
measure first offered shoe dealers
in November of last year.

To qualify for such sales the
shoe dealer must first get approval
from the district OPA office in
Raleigh, which will furnish "Non-
Rationed" shoe stickers. The
highest prices that can be charged
are one dollar per pair for the
obsolete shoes and 50 cents each
for single, mis-mated shoes.

OPA emphasized that the action
releases only single shoes that
cannot be mated and obsolete
shoes that dealers are unable to
sell for ration currency because the
merchandise has deteriorated substantially because of age.
