Since the late great Fire, different Parts of the Town at different Times, have been alarmed by Fires, occasioned by Chimnies catching, but none of them did any considerable Damage; excepting on Saturday Night last; when a Chamber the back Part of Capt. Forbes's House, opposite where the great Fire broke out, was discovered to be in Flames, just breaking out: The Alarm was given, and by timely Assistance, it was extinguished before it had communicated the Flames to the other Part of the House: it was about Midnight, and occasioned (it's suppos'd) by a Defect in the Chimney.
