Full Text

Mysterious Affair. We learn that Mr. Nathan Wakefield, aged about 40 years, and having a family consisting of a wife and several children, left his house in Woodbury in this State, and went away on the 8th inst. in the day time, and has not since been heard of. He was a man of respectable standing in society, and in comfortable circumstances. Great exertions have been made by his friends and the citizens of that town in search for him, but without effect. No probable cause can be assigned for his disappearance, we understand, unless it be that of sudden mental derangement which was not discovered by any one who saw him.
