Matter Straightened Out.

At a meeting of the city council several weeks ago the water committee was instructed to look up the matter of the map of the water system for the city, and report why the map of D. R. Crosby had never been turned over to the city.

The committee learned that the said map had been turned over to Engineer Haskell at the expiration of Mr. Crosby's term of office, and that that gentleman has from time to time made the necessary changes in the map, all the time retaining the possession of the same with the privilege accorded the engineer.
