On the strength of these revelations attorneys for the girl approached court with a motion to dismiss the jury impaneled to try her for murder and another proposal for a jury to pass upon Miss Ellingson's mental condition.
Decision to raise the insanity question was reached at a conference last night attended by defense and prosecution attorneys. Insanity reports made at the conference were based upon observations of the girl made yesterday. She had collapsed frequently in court, apparently weakening under the ordeal.
San Francisco, March 30. Defense counsel in the case of Dorothy Ellingson presented to Judge Louderbach this morning a motion to have the murder trial of the 16 year old girl halted and the present jury instructed to inquire into her mental condition.
