Surfacing of Mt. Vernon St. To Start Mon.

Town Manager Rex D. Gilmore has announced that the street surfacing job with hot mix will start Monday morning on Mt. Vernon Street, west from Main Street to the Clayton Road.

Delaware Roads Corporation was awarded the contract at a recent meeting of Town Council. It is expected that work will be started on Tuesday on South Street west from Main Street to School Lane. Work will continue on parts of Frazier Street and other streets as required, until the 1500 tons of hot mix is used up. 'No parking' signs will be placed in the areas to be re-surfaced.
