MORTON WILL NOT VOTE.

Secretary of the Treasury Says His Ballot Will Not Be Essential.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14. - Secretary Morton has returned to Washington and resumed his official duties after an extended vacation in the west. He announces that he will take no part in the election, but added that if he were to vote he would cast his ballot for Palmer and Buckner. His reason for not voting, he said, is the distance of his Nebraska home from Washington, and the lack of necessity for his vote, which he said he would cast if it were likely to make any essential difference.
