The citadel of Milan has a garrison of 3000 Frenchmen, Cisalpines and Poles. The Cisalpines and Piedmontese go over by whole detachments to the Austrians. Gen. The whole municipality of Cremona are sent prisoners to Verona.--The garrison of Peschiera consists of 1500 men.--The Neapolitan army in Calabria is now 40,000 men strong, and to advance, it only waits for Admiral Nelson's making a descent. In Lombardy the insurrection is general it spreads towards Lucca, and Genoa, and the same scenes are expected in Piedmont.

VERONA, MAY 5.

Suwarrow has summoned the citadel of Milan to surrender in 24 hours. The Commandant answered that he would surrender that place, which has a garrison of 2500 men, on condition of his being permitted to march out with his troops, and all the patriots, with military honours, and 12 covered waggons, and escorted as far as the French camp. The Fieldmarshal hereupon sent another summons, to surrender in two hours, and threatening in case of refusal, to put the garrison to the sword.

VIENNA, April 26.

Mantua is left to its fate by the enemy.--The taking of Peschiera will enable us to form a closer blockade of Mantua. A party of Imperialists have taken at Lago Scuro 6 officers, 122 soldiers, 15 brass artillery, 200 pieces of unmounted cannon. The peasants at Mirandola, have attacked a Cisalpine detachment, and taken 234 prisoners. At Castel Nuovo Lt. Gavendo has taken 14 pieces cannon and mortars, a great quantity military stores and prisoners.

Field-Marshal Suwarrow follows the enemy with 20,000 men.

The corps of Conde is in Austria Silesia. The Emperor has added 1500 excellent cavalry to the corps, 4 numerous Russian columns will follow this corps, to reinforce the army on the Rhine. Another corps has entered East Gallicia, for Italy; it is composed of 10,609 men, and 5739 horses.

TRENT, MAY 7.

This instant the Imperial Royal Major Marshall, has arrived, assuring us that the Russians are in Tortona, and the Austrians in Vercelli--the head quarters are at Pavia.

Part of our troops are marching against Genoa, to facilitate the landing of the allies. The French are retreating in the utmost confusion.

STOCKACH, MAY 11.

The Archduke's head-quarters still remain here; the army has encamped in our environs and is ready to break up every hour. The result of the war in Italy and the Grison country will guide the measures of the Archduke. This prince is entirely recovered; he only abstains from going on horseback, but takes the air in a small open carriage.
