CAR PLUNGES INTO WATER
WHEELS OF VEHICLE SEEN PROTRUDING ABOVE SURFACE AT YACHT BASIN

Wheels of an automobile sticking out of the water at the Key West yacht basin indicated that an accident occurred yesterday but who was in the car at the time was not learned.

The exposed wheels were seen by hundreds of people but no one seemed to know who was driving the car nor could give any authentic information about the accident.

It was said that the car was driven over the rise onto the causeway. Apparently the wheels of the car became unmanageable, and it rolled to the breakwater and plunged over into about six feet of water. There were three persons in the car but no one was injured.
