Full Text

A BREAK IN THE RAILROAD.—The stages will bring neither passengers or express to-day. Billy Hale, Wells, Fargo & Co.'s stage agent at Virginia, showed us a telegram from Cisco received last evening to the effect that a slide had occurred on the railroad this side of Emigrant Gap, therefore the cars would not get through to Cisco last night. It is still storming in the Sierras and the chances are that California travel will be more or less interrupted for a short time, until the storm is over. It is most too late now for any lengthy interruption.
