When the men of war arrived from Sir Edward Hawke, demanding Capt. Fortunatus Wright, the express sent to the regency of Florence brought for answer, that they must submit and deliver up Captain Wright, for there was no repelling force: Accordingly the guards delivered him. On the 15th they carried him off in triumph, in company with a number of merchantmen that were lying there waiting for convoy. Capt. Wright has got 150 brave fellows on board his ship, whom it is presumed, he will avenge himself if opportunity offers. The fort fired by way of disapprobation at parting with him, three guns, but not with any design to do any damage.
