Jardine Names Caine
For Department Position

WASHINGTON, May 11.-(A. P.)- Secretary Jardine today appointed John T. Caine, III, of Logan, Utah, head of the Packers and Stock yards administration of the department of agriculture to succeed Chester Morrill, resigned.

"I have had in mind the unusual responsibilities of the position," the secretary said in announcing the appointment. "The public stock yards markets are an important factor in the livestock industry. Those agencies operating in the public markets provide services which are of great public interest."
