A Big Lick.—Captain David Green, formerly of the Western Sun, at Warrenton in this County, but more recently Commander of the Steamer Hail Columbia, has been employed for the last eighteen months in the mines near Sonora, California, and on the 15th of May last he took out, with the assistance of his wife and two small boys, the round sum of three thousand dollars in ten hours. It will be gratifying to the Captain's numerous friends in this county to learn that he has already secured sufficient of the "dust" to render himself and family comfortable for life. Capt. Green expects to return to this county in September next.
