IMBECILE FIRES
ON BEACH CABIN
AT HILDA CREEK
It was discovered over the weekend
that the beach cabin of A. W. Boddy
located at the south end of Douglas
Island, had been riddled by .22
cal. shot for no apparent reason. Being
obviously stupid when handling
fire arms, and perhaps in other matters
as well, the person or persons
responsible for the damage and
inexcusably maliciousness remain unknown.
Boddy said that eight .22 cal. holes
were found in the window facings
of the cabin and that at least two
shots had penetrated the stove pipe
and lodged in the wall across the
room.
Not only does such destruction go
without reason and excuse, but if
anyone had been in the cabin they
could well have been killed or seriously
injured.
From all indications the shots
had been fired from a passing vessel.
