Waco's New Bank.

The Galveston News prints the following editorial in reference to Waco's new banking enterprise:

"It is announced that the city of Waco is to have a new national bank with a capital of half a million dollars. The progress of that important business center demands more banking facilities, and it is fair to assume that the new enterprise will be of great benefit to the city of Waco and to the country round about Waco. Among the promoters of the new banking institution are Mr. Wm. Cameron of Waco, a man noted throughout the state for his energy and business push, and Mr. N B. Sligh of Galveston, who has been actively engaged in banking pursuits here for the past thirteen years. A more thorough banker or reliable business man than Mr Sligh is not known in Galveston. With such a combination as the two gentlemen named and their associates can effect it is not doubted that the new banking enterprise will prove a grand success. Waco is to be congratulated upon the outlook which encourages such an enterprise."
