THE WEST Colorado. Blown to Atoms by Exploding Powder.
Denver, Aug. 15.-A special to the Times from Como gives a brief account of an explosion which occurred at Red Hill, a small station on the South Park road, Friday night. At about twelve o'clock a fire broke out in the depot and caused the explosion of 1,000 pounds of powder, which blew the depot and every building in the place to atoms. The agent, F. E. Colyer, was badly cut and burned and is not expected to live. His assistant, Charley Hilton, was killed and two other men were badly injured.
