The King having left the Christening of the new-born Prince entirely to the Discretion of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, his Royal Highness chose his most sacred Majesty his Royal Father, together with the King of Sweden, and the Queen of Prussia, to be Sponsors: The Duke of Queensberry and Dover represented the King; the Lord Baltimore, the King of Sweden; and the Lady Irwin, the Queen of Prussia. The Prince was baptised by the Names George-William-Frederick. We hear the young Prince is to be created Duke of Cornwall.
