The Bering Sea Tribunal of Arbitration Has About Completed Its Work,

LONDON, Aug. 2-A special from Paris, says: The Bering Sea tribunal of arbitration has made good progress. It is expected that decision will be rendered in a fortnight. Every point at issue has been adjudicated. The decision will give entire satisfaction to Great Britain and Canada. In every instance the claims advanced by the counsel for Great Britain were held good. The decision will be unanimous on all points, save one, which Justice Harlan and Senator Morgan, of the American arbitrators, held out for the American claim. The tribunal is now discussing the question of regulations to govern seal fisheries.

Paris, Aug. 2.-With reference to the London report that the Bering Sea case has been decided in favor of Great Britain, Hon. C. H. Tupper, Canadian minister of marine and British agent here, said all forecasts are mere surmises. The arbitrators have arrived at a decision in regard to half the points presented, but he did not know when the work would terminate.
