New Aircraft Gives Navy Something to Hit and Run Against Enemy
WASHINGTON, Dec. 28.—Newest teammate to the carrier based killer crews, the helldiver, was introduced today with the official tip that "it gives the navy the reach it is seeking for its aerial Sunday punch."
Dive bomber is an old name, but it is a brand spanking new war-plane. The Helldiver was described by the Navy as "fast enough to keep up with its speedy new fighter escorts, the Hellcat and Corsair."
