Cool Impudence.—The Dansville (N. Y.) Republican, a rabid locofoco paper, has the following, which is as cool a specimen of impudence as we have lately met with:

True to Instinct! Not one whig paper have we seen which does Gov. Polk the justice to correct their misrepresentation of his views in relation to a Tariff!

Will they have the honesty to proclaim that he is in favor of precisely such a Tariff as Mr. Clay? Such is the fact.

We beg to remind the locofoco papers in the South, that they too have neglected to publish Mr. Polk's letter; that they too have forgotten to proclaim that he is in favor of precisely such a Tariff as Mr Clay's!
