Rome, Oct. 3.-The pope is deeply affected by the disorders which occurred yesterday in this city through the objectionable conduct of some of the French pilgrims who were visiting the tomb of King Victor Emmanuel in the Pantheon.

The pope has issued instructions that all Catholic pilgrims in Rome are to remain tranquil, in fear of displeasure displayed by bands of young men and others who paraded the streets to mark their disapprobation of the pilgrims' conduct, and that the latter are in every way to do all in their power to avoid giving cause for disturbances.
