Audiometer Purchased By Local PTA

The monthly executive meeting of the Smyrna Special School District was held October 4 at the home of Mrs. William Brady, Secretary.

It was announced that an audiometer has been purchased at a cost of $338.50. This machine will be a vital asset to the school district, as its use will help bring out any hearing problems the children may have.

The school nurses have been familiarized with its operation.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Smyrna Special School District PTA will be held Thursday, October 18 at 8 p.m. in the Smyrna Elementary School. The feature of this meeting will be "Health In Our Schools." Mrs. Pauline Guy, Mrs. Thos. Myer, Mrs. Clara Sparr, and Mrs. Charlotte Robinson will direct the program, which will include three topics- Cafeteria and Lunch Program, "Health Services, and "Health Instructions."

There will also be a short film "School Health In Action."
