Rayburn Party Arrive Friday

Rev. James Rayburn, the evangelist, with his wife and family, arrived here Friday night by automobile from Buena Vista, and have taken apartments at 704 Harrison avenue for the term of their stay in Canon City. They report a somewhat thrilling and dangerous ride from Salida here, owing to the bad condition of the roadway in the vicinity of Texas Creek, and the heavy rainfall along the upper course of the river.

Prof. and Mrs. A. J. Wickland, who are to be associated with Rev. Rayburn in evangelistic work here as singer and pianist, reached here from California several days ago, and have taken lodgings at 704 Rudd avenue.

The first of the evangelistic services will take place at the rink on East Main street at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning.
