ENQUIRER

RICHMOND :

WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 1804.

Not conceiving that any original communication can be equally interesting and acceptable to the public as the correspondence between Gen. HAMILTON and Col. BURR, and their mutual friends, received by the Monday's mail, the Editor deems it to be his duty to postpone the Essay on the Tendency of BANKS, for the purpose of introducing the whole of this correspondence. Should he not be anticipated by the other papers, in expatiating over that field of observation which this subject has suggested to his own mind, he intends in a subsequent number to revert to the origin and progress of this fatal controversy.and to present his own reflections to the consideration of the public.
