About 300 Enthusiasts Ready, but Judges Call It Off.

Rain early yesterday morning caused the postponement of the annual ten mile handicap of the Century Road Club Association, which was scheduled to be held at Grant City, Staten Island. The event promised to be the biggest of its kind ever held in America and about 300 racing cyclists had crossed the municipal ferry to St. George before the rain fell.

They were halted until the committee went over the course and announced by telephone that the race had been postponed until next Sunday morning. There are 210 entries already in, and post entries will be received up to 9 o'clock next Sunday morning. Entries may be sent to Howard W. Zarr, 2202 Seventh avenue, New York.
