Last Saturday Colonel de Champigny, who is now writing a new History of England in French, had the honour to be introduced to the King of Denmark at St. James's, by his Excellency Count de Molke, his Great Marshal; and on Monday morning (by this Monarch's special command) the Colonel waited again upon him, when his Majesty, after having been shewed several sheets of the two volumes of this work, and likewise above forty copper plates, finely engraved, for the same purpose, was most graciously pleased to signify his approbation of the whole, and to order the remainder of the subscription money to be paid to the Colonel, at the rate of seven guineas and a half per ticket, according to the new plan of this work, which is to be in fifteen volumes in quarto, and will extend itself till the first of 1770.
