WIRE WALKING.

The wire walker, Mons. Price, came to Ottawa last Tuesday, and walked a small tight wire, according to programme, from the Court House to Bowman's gallery. A couple of thousand men, women and children, mostly the latter, looked at the performance. A subscription, circulated in the crowd, yielded the magnificent sum of $13.02.

When he had performed a very difficult feat a street gamin, a ragged specimen at that, aged 5 or 6 years, removing a cigar stub from his mouth, and swelling up with enthusiasm, exclaimed, "K-lomons, ain't he a son of a gun to walk!"
