Full Text

[Communicated.]

Mr. Snowden:--I was present, a few days since, at an examination of the School under the superintendance of Mr. Jones, and cannot avoid expressing, thus publicly, the great pleasure I enjoyed on that occasion. The young ladies evinced an intimate acquaintance with the various branches upon which they were examined. Questions connected with some of the most difficult subjects embraced in a course of female education, were propounded, nearly all of which were answered with a promptness and accuracy that I have seldom heard equalled, and never excelled. The whole exhibition was honorable to the young ladies themselves, and reflected much credit upon the ability and industry of the instruct-or.
