BIG SCHOOL ENROLLMENT.
Grinnell Attendance Over 1,100 This Year--The Teaching Force.
Special to Times-Republican.
Grinnell, Sept. 4.-The Grinnell public schools opened yesterday with a full enrollment. There are over 1,100 children in the city schools. The high school, with an enrollment of 260, begins the year with the largest first year class in its history--about twenty-five suburban pupils having registered. There are a number of changes in the teaching force. Principal W. I. Griffith was highly successful as principal of the high school last year and continues in that capacity. Mr. Eugene Henely, the superintendent of schools, came to Grinnell a year ago from Brooklyn. His management of the Grinnell schools has been highly pleasing to the directors and patrons. The following is a list of teachers for the coming year:
