Lung Victims

DENVER--The General Hospital
of Denver, national cure resort for
those suffering from lung diseases, received
its first lightweight portable
iron lung as a union gift. The lung
was donated by Local 13, International
Brotherhood of Teamsters Chauffeurs
Warehousemen & Helpers.

Speaking at the ceremony, IBT
Rep. H. L. Woxburg said: "We want
the lung to go to the relief of the
people who need help most. The gift
is part of a national program of the
teamsters. Twenty-seven lungs have
been donated by the organization to
hospitals in the West."
