To the Editor of the Democratic Press—

YOU are requested to re-publish the following communication inserted in your paper of the 28th June, 1813.

[COMMUNICATION.]

"The subscriber having sold to Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. all his dies, tools and machines for the making of plates for bank notes and other important papers, together with all his patent privileges relating thereto, and having received a full and satisfactory compensation for the same, he declines having any further concern in the aforesaid business; except at the request of the aforesaid Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co."

(Signed)
ABEL BREWSTER.

"Philadelphia, 28th June, 1813."

Notwithstanding the business between the said Abel Brewster and the undersigned was settled agreeably to the tenor of the foregoing communication, the said Brewster has had the hardihood, after a lapse of two years and three months, to publish and circulate a pamphlet addressed "To the Banks in particular, and the public in general," implicating in libellous terms the conduct and character of our association. The banks and the public are respectfully requested to suspend their opinions on said pamphlet, until a legal investigation has taken place, as a suit will be immediately commenced against the author.
