Full Text

The ship Roboreus, capt. Hall of this port, (Baltimore) robbed on her passage to N. Orleans by two privateers, has afforded the opposition prints just matter for abuse of the infamous Milan decree. Should it appear that the captains of these rovers bear a French commission, our government undoubtedly, will make the proper representation and demand of the French emperor, who of course will disavow it as an unauthorised act ; and according to federal logic we are bound to receive the declaration as a proof of his friendship, and should the pirates be promoted, so much stronger evidence of his sincerity.
