Intelligence Extraordinary from Edinburgh.
On Saturday the 28th of Octo. being the anniversary of the birth of that illustrious, tho' suffering Patriot, John Wilkes, Esq; several respectable citizens of this metropolis dined together, in solemnization of an event so important, to the liberties of Britain. It is with pleasure we are informed, that so far from the whole people of Scotland being the enemies of that gentleman (as has been often asserted, probably on account of some invectives against that country, which Fame ascribed to his pen) the judicious, sensible, & most distinguished inhabitants of the Northern capital, are remarkable for their attachment to his cause, and their support of it upon all occasions.
