INJUNCTION DENIED.—The tedious suit of the united ranchmen of Washoe Valley against the Marlette Flume Co. was closed in the District Court last night. Judge Harris delivering his decision denying the temporary injunction and vacating the restraining order. Court adjourned until Monday the 25th inst., when the case of right and title to the water of Franktown creek will be tried. Following the close of the present injunction case, an injunction will be issued against the Virginia and Gold Hill Water Co., by the ranchmen, to-morrow. This question of water right is one of very great importance and will work hardships, however it may be decided. The water is absolutely necessary both for fluming and irrigating—for the woodmen and the ranchmen. The Water Company, under any circumstances, will be embarrassed only temporarily, as by an extension of their flume they can obtain all the water they wish from Marlette Lake, a right to which they have secured from the original contractors with the Government for that property. The Yerington Flume Co., we are informed, have been using water for their wood drives appropriated from the same source upon which temporary injunction has just been denied.
