In city court today, Mayor Powell presided over the cases to be heard.
Rochelle Williams and Lucy Wright, Negroes, was charged with assaulting and beating each other and with being disorderly. Each was given 30 days, commitment not to issue upon payment of the costs and showing good behavior for the next two years.
Eddie Bascoe, Negro, was not guilty of larceny.
Abe Lock, Jack Krupnick, Jack Burgin and Arthur Globe were declared not guilty of assaulting and beating each other and being disorderly.
Sylvester Wright, Negro, was given 90 days on the roads for possession of non-paid whisky.
