Mrs. W. W. Warner, of Swan Lake, is at the Merchants hotel in this city.
Joseph H. Robbins, of Swan Lake, is registered at the Merchants hotel.
Lafayette Somers, of Brule City, brother of the late M. H. Somers, is in town.
M. D. Thompson, leading business man of Vermillion, was in Yankton last night.
Sheriff Baker returned yesterday from trip to Scotland and localities further up the Jim.

Capt. A. A. White, who last summer was clerk of one of the steamers of the Coulson line, arrived from St. Louis last night.
Rev. Dr. Hoyt, of Swan Lake reached Yankton to-day and went over to Green Island, Nebraska, where Mrs. Hoyt is visiting.
Col. Wright, who was a prisoner in Yankton for over three weeks, has been released and left for his home at Rockport this morning. He was a member of the Livingston jury.
A. J. Parshall, of Rosedale, who was a member of the United States petit jury at the late term of court, and consequently spent the greater portion of the winter in Yankton, left for home this morning.
F. L. Fifield, until lately one of the editors of the Madison (McCook county) Sentinel, arrived in Yankton last evening. Mr. Fifield possesses good newspaper ability, and will doubtless again be heard from in the field of Dakota newspaperdom.
United States Marshal Raymond and wife left this morning for the east. They will go directly to New York where Mrs. Raymond will remain for some time, while the captain will go to northern Dakota and conclude arrangements for his permanent removal to Fargo, and also attend to the seeding of his large wheat farm in the Red River valley.
