ORSAMUS COLE.

The nomination of this gentleman as the Whig candidate for Congress, is received throughout the entire District with a degree of enthusiasm which speaks well for his election. The Democratic papers in this District without an exception, we believe, speak in the highest terms of Mr. Cole, as a gentleman of high character and correct business habits, and deservedly popular wherever known. Should he be elected, (and we confidently believe he will be,) Wisconsin will have at least one Representative in our National Legislature of whom she may justly be proud. We would say to our Whig friends in other portions of the District, do your duty, and all is safe.
