Army News.—A series of charges and counter-charges, preferred by the Surgeon-General of the army and Assistant Surgeon Byrne against each other and which have been under discussion for some time before a court martial, of which Col. Crane, 1st Artillery, was President, have finally been disposed of by an order of the Secretary of War declaring that no further action would be had in the premises. We learn that Assistant Surgeon Byrne yesterday applied for a court martial, which was definitely refused him.—Washington Republic.
