LATER FROM EUROPE.

By the arrival of the Packet Ship, Duchess d'Orleans at New York, we are placed in possession of news three days later from Europe.

A Republic had been proclaimed in Prussia, and the King had been imprisoned by the people; success had crowned the Revolution in Lombardy; Russia was preparing a powerful army to march against Poland; and it was expected that the Emperor of Austria would be compelled to abdicate, to make way for a Republican form of Government. We quote as follows:

"At the date of the sailing of the Duchess d'Orleans, great excitement prevailed at Havre between the two classes of citizens, rich and poor, which constantly threatened serious consequences. The latter had compelled the higher orders to remain within their houses with closed doors, and the military were on the alert to prevent out-breaks and quell any disturbance that might occur.

"Pecuniary matters in France still wore a gloomy aspect, and failures continued among the first houses. It was reported that the Rothschilds had suspended, but, from the known immense resources of that firm, the rumor had not gained general credence.

"In Prussia there has been another emeute, which resulted in the proclamation of a republic at Berlin, the king's being dethroned, and ministers cast into prison. The Prince of Prussia (probably heir apparent) had fled to England, but before his flight the people had demanded that he should renounce all claims to the throne. All Polish prisoners had been liberated.

"Genoa had detached itself from the Kingdom of Sardinia, to form a member of the Italian unity, under a republican form of government. In Milan the revolution had been consummated by the entire success of the insurgents, after a severe struggle; in which much blood had been shed."

The Prince of Prussia, it was said, had made good his escape to England.

The King of Bavaria had abdicated, and his son had ascended the throne, under the title of Maximilian the Second.

Tranquility prevailed in France.

The Steamer Sarah Sands, arrived at New York on the 21st instant, bringing dates from Liverpool to the 3d of April. We quote the following Telegraphic Correspondence of the Richmond Enquirer of Saturday last:

"BALTIMORE, April 21—P. M.

The steamship Sarah Sands arrived at New York to-day. She brings dates from Liverpool to the 3d April.

Annexed, you will find the prices current in Liverpool the day the steamer sailed, viz:

Flour—27s a 28s per bbl.

Wheat—7s a 8s 9d per 70 lbs.

Corn—26 a 30s per quarter.

Cotton—Bowed 4½ a 4d, New Orleans 3½ a 5¼ sales for the week 24,670 bales.

The news from Europe represents that the war has commenced in Sardinia, and the Austrian troops have been forcibly expelled from the territory. Poland is in a state of general insurrection, and the Emperor of Russia was on the eve of sending armies South. It is said that the Russians will, in all probability, be opposed in the Polish territory by both Prussia and France. Indeed, a French army was already on the march for the North.

Money—Consols 81 a 81; Stocks dull on the Continent, owing to further failures.

The London Grain and Flour market was dull, owing to increased receipts and fine weather.

No change had occurred in the manufacturing districts. Manchester and Leeds dull and gloomy."
