REPUBLICAN NOMINATIONS IN N. YORK.

From the Albany Argus, dated 12th September, we learn that the Republican State Convention at Herkimer have nominated, with entire unanimity and harmony, William L. Marcy for Governor, and John Tracy for Lieutenant Governor. The Extra from the office of the Albany Argus is as follows:

"The Republican State Convention was held at Herkimer on Wednesday. It was numerously attended,—delegates being present from every county, except Alleghany and Franklin, and, save five, the entire representation of the counties being complete.

"The convention was organized by the appointment of David M. Westcott of Orange county, President, Singleton Mitchell of Queens, and Rowland Day of Cayuga, Vice Presidents, and James Stryker of Erie, and Horace Allen of St. Lawrence, Secretaries.

"On the first ballot, William L. Marcy was unanimously nominated as the republican candidate for governor, and John Tracy for Lieutenant Governor.

The whole proceedings were in a spirit of harmony and good feelings never surpassed in a delegated body and the delegates met and parted, not only with the most cordial unanimity of feeling, but with a firm reliance upon the justice and patriotism of their cause, with reasonable exertion, for the triumphant success of their ticket.

An address and resolutions were adopted, which, we understand, speak the language of the Democracy with force and eloquence. These, together with the proceedings of the Convention, will be speedily laid before the good people of the state for their decision, and, we doubt not, for their approval.

A higher compliment could not have been paid to able and faithful public officers, than this warm, cordial and unanimous expression of the delegated democracy of the state, in the re-nomination of our present Governor, and Lieutenant Governor. It is as gratifying as it is just.—It is the best augury of success. Come what may from the divided and uncertain labors of the piebald gathering at Utica, the issue of the approaching contest in this state is beyond a doubt. William L. Marcy and John Tracy will be called again to discharge the duties of the stations which they have filled so creditably to themselves and so advantageously to the public interests, by greater majorities than the people of this state have honored the candidates of their choice for the same offices at any previous canvass."
