We hope the press of the State will at once adopt the suggestion here made, or some one more suitable, and have the place and time definitely fixed upon, that no difficulty may interfere to a large attendance.
We devote much of the space usually occupied by editorial matter to the publication of the doings of the Know Nothings North, and also to the violation of individual rights by the abolitionists in the case of Mr. Wheeler. We are sure our readers will be much more enlightened by the facts as given, than by anything we could write. Volumes are contained in the matter we publish to-day.
