Full Text

The interest centering in the October elections in Indiana and Pennsylvania, is becoming intense. Though money from New York is pouring into Indiana, to carry the October election for the Democrats, it will do no good. The tide is strong among the Hoosiers, and the State will go Republican by a handsome majority, although, as in Pennsylvania, the opposition are united upon one ticket. The gubernatorial canvass by Henry S. Lane, has been a brilliant triumph from the beginning until now. The following is an extract from a letter written by a Philadelphia manufacturer, who with all his employees, went for Fillmore in 1856, and now works for Lincoln. He says:
The leading politicians here are sanguine that A. G. Curtin (Republican candidate for Governor) will come to the mountains from Pittsburgh with from 10,000 to 20,000 majority. This is the democratic portion of the State. If the western part of the State does this, he will be elected by 20,000 majority. Betting politicians are freely wagering that he will have 10,000 in the eastern part of the State.
