J. L. Lanons, correspondent.

March 26--Prairie fires of evenings are all the go in our vicinity.

Herbert Johnson has sowed about twenty-five acres of oats.

Henry Thurman's barn is making its appearance.

Some of our neighbors are just finishing husking corn while others are talking of planting corn.

There has been considerable sickness in our community but not very dangerous and all are getting better.

This is nice weather for farmers to get their oats in and work of all kind is going on lively.
