The Long Expected Victory
Which Democrats have waited for
And sought but never found.
[Special to the Register.]
CLARKSBURG, October 29
Davis (Dem.) is elected by 100 majority over Carlile (mountebank). Contest between Lewis (Dem.) and Goff (Rep.) very close. Lewis probably elected.
Brooke County All Right
Applegate and Hervey Re-Elected
Majority Estimated at 100.
DEMOCRATIC GAIN 90.
The Brooke county Democracy send us cheering tidings. They carry the county by a majority estimated at from seventy-five to one hundred. The following letter has just been received by a gentleman in this city from a reliable source:
WELLSBURG, October 29, 1869.
Returns have been received from four voting places. Applegate and Hervey have about 85 majority thus far. The balance of the county will not reduce this number. Our sanguine friends claim that Applegate and Hervey will have over 100 majority in the county. We are all right, will carry every township in the county and elect every name on the Democratic ticket through out, except Freshwater for School Superintendent, who will be beaten by Wells (Republican.)
The Pan Handle News, with rooster rampant and general rejoicing breaking out all over its columns, confirms the above and says:
We predicted 100 Democratic majority in Brooke county for Hervey and Applegate. Our predictions are more than verified.
WOOD COUNTY.
Glorious Democratic Victory
THE COUNTY REDEEMED.
Our Majority 200.
Two Members of Legislature Gained.
PARKERSBURG, October 29.
Democratic majority in the county estimated at 200.
[This assures the election of Jackson and Agnew, Democrats, to the Legislature from the District of Wood and Pleasants. Wood has never before in our recollection given a Democratic majority. The District has always been Republican.-ED.]

Ohio County Official.
We give below the official vote from all the townships in this county, except Liberty. On members of the Legislature, the figures from that township are the same as the official figures. It will be seen that we give Mr. Applegate for the State Senate a majority of 25. For House of Delegates Mr. Lamb has 295 majority over Campbell and 319 over Hubbard. Cracraft has 337 over Hubbard and 313 over Campbell. Faris has a majority of 333 over North, 234 over Campbell and 233 over Hubbard.
